About the Role
We’re seeking skilled Positive Behaviour Practitioners to join CARED as independent contractors.
You’ll have clinical skills across a range of areas, including NDIS and support a diverse caseload, including:
Functional Behaviour Assessments & comprehensive reports,
Development and implementation of Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs)
Ongoing therapeutic intervention and capacity-building strategies
Participants with complex behaviours of concern
Adults with psychosocial disabilities requiring positive behaviour support
Participants with intellectual and physical disabilities impacting daily living and social participation
Collaboration with families, support workers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure best outcomes
About You
You have:
At least 3 years’ experience
Previous telehealth experience (required)
Previous experience with NDIS participants (required)
Tertiary qualification in a relevant health or allied health discipline, such as:
Psychology
Occupational Therapy
Social Work
Speech Pathology
Postgraduate or specialist training in behaviour analysis or Positive Behaviour Support (eg: Graduate Diploma/Master in Applied Behaviour Analysis, NDIS-endorsed PBS courses)
AHPRA registration is required if your primary qualification falls under a regulated profession (eg: Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Speech Pathology)
Proficient registration in NDIS Commission to perform PBS work . To be recognised as a PBS practitioner under NDIS rules, you must:
Apply to the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission via the Behaviour Support Practitioner suitability process.
Self-assess against the PBS Capability Framework, and supply evidence of qualifications, experience, and capability.
Engage in workplace-based supervision and professional development to maintain suitability.
